Before BiggerBoat Solutions, Ltd. was founded in 2009, Jay Weiner attained his extensive skill and expertise in Tool Engineering, from his 15 year tenure as an innovative Design Engineer and IT Manager at Cam Tool & Die Ltd., one of Canada's premier Tier-2 automotive stamping suppliers. He obtained his Bachelors of Science Degree from S.U.N.Y. Binghamton and his Masters of Science Degree from S.U.N.Y. Stony Brook, both in Mechanical Engineering, with his main area of study being Manufacturing and Mechanics of Materials. This provided the perfect foundation for Metal Forming Simulation, which was at the time, a technology only in its infancy. Combining his engineering education with the 15 years of practical tooling knowledge, has not only made Jay and BiggerBoat Solutions Ltd. experts in stamping simulation, but also a trusted resource to numerous Tier-1 and Tier-2 automotive suppliers.
Jay's comprehensive tooling and Computer Aided Design knowledge, has also lead him to be be retained by both the Engineering and CAD software developers Altair Engineering and Cimatron Ltd. for independent consultation on the continuing development and beta testing of their software. This unique perspective has given BiggerBoat Solutions Ltd. the advantage of a greater understanding of simulation and its vast potential, as well as providing us with a greater insight into the entire scope and capability of Finite Element Analysis, and it's relationship with, and application to, real world solutions.
This particular combination of credentials, is why Jay has been invited to speak, as well as conduct teaching seminars, workshops and presentations on the various capabilities and potential of Metal Forming Simulation to numerous peers and professionals.
